I'd like to say thank you and well done to HaloPSA today. I notified them of an issue we were experiencing and they handled the call with professionalism and empathy. I asked if there was a Service Status page I could view to keep an eye on progress while they worked to fix things. There wasn't... yet! 30 minutes later however, boom! And a Service Status page was in action and the issue itself was fixed shortly afterwards. I couldn't have asked for better service. Well done Team Halo Service Solutions!“Customers don’t expect you to be perfect. They expect you to fix things when they go wrong.”

Last week I had the privilege of doing one last presentation at the ICC in Durban for a company I have been part of for 10 years. As I left the conference I started to reflect on my time at the company, I realized how many of the products across the business I had been involved in. It has been the most incredible growth experience for me.I have had some seriously difficult days where I left wondering whether I could do this. One project had me front and centre of an incredibly stressful few months, I can’t say that I enjoyed it at the time, but I can say that we got it done and on time. The feeling of success was always something that made Derivco and Games Global such an awesome place to work. I got to forge strong friendships by getting involved in difficult problems that we managed to solve together. On my final day, seeing people I had done projects with 7 years ago and giving each other a big hug as they heard I was leaving. All of this was formed working closely with people, sharing the ownership and passion of ensuring we got things done.Something that has really helped me through me through the years which I would like to share is a process I have called “design your own outcome”. It is hard not to take things personally or be emotionally involved in your work. You will find yourself in many uncomfortable situations and challenges no matter where you work. One thing is always true, there is something bigger waiting for you when you are ready to take the next step. So, the next time you are faced with a difficult person or situation. I want you to abstract yourself from the emotions of the moment and ask yourself. “How can I use this situation as my answer to the interview question I will get in the future?”Imagine yourself designing the next steps, the conversation, your attitude and behaviours in a way that you become the textbook example of how to handle conflict, how to deal with challenges, how to handle your biggest weakness, how to be a great team player. I can promise you that not only will you build up a great amount of content to use in interviews but more importantly after doing this for some time you will see how much easier it is to deal with those situations in a way that works for everyone. Your ability to work closely with people will improve hugely. Thank you to all the incredible people I have worked with over the last decade, you have taught me so much. I also want to say thank you to Derivco and Games Global for supporting me and giving me a space to experiment, make mistakes and ultimately grow as a person.

Building Brands that Mattermore | High-Growth Brands with Meaningful Difference

Hey everyone, I'm really excited to share a big update!I have always known that I want to run my own business helping people solve problems but honestly I was never sure what.About six months ago, a lot of free time 'became available' and I was able to start figuring things out, so I want to say a huge thank you to some people who’ve changed everything for me over the last 6 months. In my career I’ve done lots of different things, which I guess can look a little messy from the outside but I have always been passionately interested in people and why we do things. And whatever I was doing, Coaching, Operations, Communications, Recruitment or Change Management, the core of the role was a new approach to soak up on how to measure value, how we form relationships with things and how to change behaviours and habits. So, I’m fizzing to share that I’m building a small Design & Strategy agency that will help brands matter more:- Designing brands that weave the individuality of their brave leaders through research-backed strategies to create unique and relevant identities that speak fluently with their communities. - Delivering experiences that lace high-performance tools with character instantly recognised for devoted focus on what really matters to their audience and sharing their decisive values. I’ve got tonnes to work out still but I’m loving the ride, and contrary to what people tell you about going solo… I’m (so far) actually sleeping better than ever. I’d really appreciate any insight and feedback on what I’m up to, so please comment or send me a message. A really big thank you to the following legends who’ve helped me to build the confidence to take my first few steps:You Are Uncommon for looking at an empty portfolio and still giving me an opportunity to work with your brand. motus VFX for the opportunity to do some work in a brand new space where there aren't many case studies of success.brytr both for giving me a shot despite the limited work to my name and the validation you offered that I don’t look like I’m making this up as I go along.Mota for seeing value in what I’ve learnt in my indirect experiences and believing that I’d be able to apply what I not-so-long ago was studying.Sergei Golubev for reaching out to me at the most perfect moment and puttng the first wind in my sails. And finally, to my personal mascot / stress PA - photographed - who’s meant more to me than ever over the past 6 months. Cheering me up when things have got really tough, keeping me grounded. She has been paid handsomely in Crunchy Peanut Butter. I’ll share some more as I get stuff finished up. Thanks for the love & support so far!

"Player value is everything."It is the prerequisite for favourable reviews, awards, and financial success. Value, however, is also subjective. We can't decide what "good value" is for our players. It's a cost/benefit calculation, done by them, based on their criteria. All we can do is, deliver what we promise (explicitly or implicitly) on the box. If we manage to understand the job to be done, and surpass player expectations accordingly, the aforementioned criteria of success will follow.I feel lucky to have been working at a studio that allowed me to champion this very simple philosophy.I left the tank at Fatshark some time back. Been slow to update.Fatshark is where I came to understand and refine this fundamental. And it has been the core principle of any initiative I took part in, including my Masters thesis. I had the privilege to work with people that have a wealth of experience and talent. I'm happy to call most of them good friends that I hope to keep. It's been a rough 2023 for me. I am happy that I had a place I loved dearly to turn to.So for all of that, thank you Fatshark. Thank you to everyone who makes it a beautiful place. So, 2024? Besides the obvious, "I need to eat" and "I don't want to lose my visa" reasons -I strongly feel the urge to get back to work. Poking at the dynamics of our industry is what I do in my free time, it is something I have endless curiosity for. But I want to sink my teeth into something real. I am more than open for an informal discussion about a specific problem, project or just conversation. But if anyone has a position in mind for someone with my profile in product management or publishing, do reach out. After all, the two obvious reasons still apply.

These past two weeks have been incredibly hard. I don't feel the need to go into details because this platform is awash with painful stories already. Instead, I wanted to share a few bright points that have eased the pain, uncertainty, and stress. I will try to outline some big ideas here and go into more detail in future posts. 1) Community: Being part of multiple communities has given me tremendous perspective, encouragement, and support. In particular, the Nevo Network has been an outstanding source of community and a perfect example of the amplifying impact of community - when all of the members of the community do inspiring work, which encourages more inspiring work.2) Teamwork: I have never been more grateful to be part of the amazing team at Trullion. We pride ourselves in always saying "People First." I have seen this play out time and again these past two weeks. Being able to work with people I trust, respect, and admire has kept me going. 3) Checking In: All I can say is thank you. Hearing from old friends, former colleagues, and former professional contacts writing to see how I am doing means the world to me. I have also tried to take time every day to think about somebody else whom I should be checking in on. 4) Helping out: There are many ways to help out right now. There are so many people in need. Finding time to help with various efforts has been a source of hope and optimism.5) Keep Hustling: Terrorists want to shut down our lives and for us to stop working. There are so many ways to beat evil (ie win this war!). Continuing to work with my outstanding team (and to see results!) has been truly inspiring. We won't let terror, this war, or anything else stop us from continuing to succeed. It sure is hard to be focused on work during these times, but I have found that pushing ourselves to work has been worth every penny of the effort.

Dear Hay Day Team & Supercell Im an admin and one of the old players and i would like to kindly ask u to consider the players' ideas to introduce them into the Hayday game and also to change them. 1 - Daily limit for tools.Every player would like to see the daily limit on tools changed or removed. If there is no option to remove the limit, please consider an alternative option: adjusting the daily limit to the player's farm level. What would it theoretically look like? With each lvl up, players unlock: machines, products, trees, crops... they also receive diamonds (at this point you can add the option + 3 tools to the daily limit). People who start playing HayDay unfortunately dont have this experience with the limit and do not use this option, and old players need a lot of tools. This option would make all players happy.Just adjust the number of tools to your level.Example:500 lvl - 3 x 500 = 1,500 tools200 lvl - 3 × 200 = 600 tools100 lvl - 3 x 100 = 300 tools 1 lvl - 3 x 1 = 3 toolsTools are needed for:Land, Town, Silo, Tacklebox, BarnGlobal EventsMany old players stopped participating in these events due to lack of respect for them. What im trying to say? So rewards for top contributors should be added. These people are very good customers for both Supercell and HayDay. Everyone knows that it is a business, but a respected client will be able to invest more money in HayDay and the player will be motivated to take part in global events.Mine10 diamonds from the mine is not enough for old players, so a limit could be introduced depending on the player's level.Example :1 lvl - 1💎50 lvl - 50 💎100 lvl - 100 💎Big UpdatesEach update has the same system: 2 new animals for the zoo, new products, new machine, new birds.A lot of special events have been introduced, which creates a problem for players (a lot of puzzles, permits), people who already have a set of animals cannot receive these rewards. How to solve this problem? Just add 4 animals to the zoo in the next update, and in the next update 2 animals, if necessary, the next update 4 animals, etc.You can add a limit on puzzles and permits so that people are not harmed. Currently you can add 3 birds for chick vouchersSpecial EventsThe rewards should encourage the player to take part in this event. A new player needs coins to develop the farm, an old player needs XP or diamonds. How to satisfy a customer? Just give the option to choose the reward, coins or xp.LanguageThere are players from all over the world, in countries with a lot of customers, you can add the native language of these players. Town New Area (on the beach side, opposite the zoo)Upgrade buildings to a higher level so that old players can use the tools they receive from the town.PondNew spotsNew fish in the album (so that players can get new fish for the catalog) Meggie's shop New style in the catalog, if the player has completed the style, he receives rewards.Tysm for your attention 🌹

Nine years ago, I started my journey with BetBull. More than a quarter of my entire life was spent here, marked by constant growth, improvements, challenges, and achievements. It had everything, but ultimately, it’s the experience I will never forget. It was truly unbelievable!I had the honor of contributing to the development of complex and innovative BetBull and WynnBET products from scratch - a unique opportunity that enriched me with invaluable knowledge. From country/state launches to migration, gamification, social features, loyalty programs, and much more, the journey was diverse and fulfilling.I consider myself fortunate to have had the chance to work alongside such talented and amazing people. We learned a lot from each other, and many of my colleagues became good friends. While LinkedIn's post length restriction prevents me from acknowledging everyone who has influenced my career during these nine years, I would like to express special gratitude to:Vadim Barshtak, who recognized my potential in 2015 and trusted me by hiring at BetBull despite my lack of product development experience, relying instead on my strong betting knowledge and eagerness to learn.Vasyl Strutynskyi, my first mentor in IT, who guided me through understanding IT processes, demonstrating with his example how to manage projects and deliver results.Onur Bayrak, who shaped my product vision, taught me how to look at things differently from the customer perspective, think out of the box.Adam Harmer, who mentored me last years with product and stakeholder management, encouraging me to see the bigger picture and consider the broader impact of our projects on the business.Sadok Kohen, the founder of BetBull, whose innovative social and gamification ideas from 9-10 years ago continue to resonate within the gambling industry."It's not the end, but a new beginning." Thank you to everyone who has been a part of this incredible journey. While this chapter closes, I am excited for the new adventures that lie ahead.

Today I want to talk about the huge hearts of people, namely the developers of cult world games, who were not left aside when the war came to Ukraine. The volume of financial assistance for two years is impressive, these funds were directed to humanitarian support of the population of Ukraine, and especially Ukrainian children. The entire world community cannot stand aside when Russia openly kills and destroys the Ukrainian people. The gaming industry, as well as eSports, has the largest audience of users in the world. And in addition to the idea against the war, there must also be real actions. The companies I mentioned in my post showed what it means to have a big heart and how not to stand aside from a global problem - war. Russia is a country of terrorists and murderers, everyone should understand that. However, unfortunately, in a world where good prevails, I believe it, there are game companies that finance murders by paying taxes in Russia, but the time will come when they will pay in full for the grief they brought to our home. But now I want to say a huge thank you to all game developers who support Ukraine and continue to help financially. Believe me, the Ukrainian game community appreciates your help and kindness.Critical Force Ubisoft Electronic Arts (EA) Activision Blizzard Riot Games Epic Games Wargaming KEVURU GAMES Gameloft MoonActive Ltd Take-Two Interactive Rockstar Games PlayStation Supercell Microsoft Unity
